HK-Mainland Joint Business Liaison Committee
Introduction
To strengthen both the trade and economic relations between mainland China
and Hong Kong, the China Council for Promotion of International Trade
(CCPIT) signed a co-operation agreement in Beijing on 5 April 2001 with
the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong General Chamber
of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, and
the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce to form the Hong Kong-Mainland
Joint Business Liaison Committee.
Each of the four association takes its turn to serve as the Hong Kong
secretariat.
